Suggested Tours to enhance your experiences when visiting Greenwich, London

Why Tours are sometimes necessary when we travel?

When I travel, either with family or solo, I tend to plan my travels beforehand and spend some time researching on the type of organised tours that are available. Often these tours act as guides to explore the areas and beyond on my own and at other times it makes sense to book one of these tours for the following three reasons:

1. It proves to be good value for money.

Organised tours such as day trips often covers more than one destination and I get to experience these hassle-free. I don’t have to think of transportation costs from one place to another. I can purchase combined tickets beforehand or online a couple of days prior so I know I am covered. Combined tickets are such good value for money and purchasing it online is often cheaper than on the day.

2. Not to be disappointed when I get there.

3. Organised tours often comes with a tour guide

And along with it is a wealth of information which I do not have to dig up through google or history books .

Greenwich is such a pretty part of London. I went a long time ago to the Maritime Museum, and I keep meaning to go back to see the Cutty Sark. Maybe I need to book a tour to the ship soon.

Absolutely Estelle. If the reviews are good and it is rightly priced, then the possibility of a guided or organised tour should be explored. Like you, I have learnt so much from this guided tours especial if they are historical and local. At the same combining these with some other off the beaten path adventures just makes our day. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Really appreciate it.

I agree with you Georgina. Sometimes a tour is really the best way to go. And, the best thing about a tour is usually the tour guide. Our experience is a good tour guide is a wealth of valuable information. We love to soak all the information up like sponges. In all our international travels we have only had one bad experience – and that was in San Francisco. But we don’t blame the tour company. A guide who is not interested in their job will not last. Yet generally, we have enjoyed being on tour with the most incredible tour guides. If you can afford it, and you have checked the reviews, do it 🙂
